Your 2-Day Trekking Timeline
Briefing & Into the Rainforest Boundary
Gather at our Bukit Lawang base. After a full safety and wildlife code-of-conduct briefing from your certified HPI guide, we enter the national park to begin our trek.
Orangutan Spotting & Deep Wilderness Hike
Trek deep into the raw jungle looking for wild Orangutans, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Siamangs, and Hornbills. Take a midday break for an organic lunch wrapped in banana leaves.
Arrival at Riverside Campsite & Campfire Feast
Arrive at our riverside camp. Swim in the clean river, relax while our crew cooks a multiple-course Indonesian campfire dinner, and fall asleep under a sturdy, rainproof jungle shelter.
Jungle Breakfast & Morning Wildlife Exploration
Wake up to fresh coffee/tea and a warm jungle pancake breakfast. Embark on a morning walk to find monitor lizards, rare bird life, and inspect amazing forest lianas and towering trees.
Lunch & Jungle Rafting Return (Tubing)
Enjoy a final hot lunch at camp. Pack gear securely in dry-bags, board our linked jungle tube-raft, and slide down the Bohorok River rapids for an incredible, splashy finish in Bukit Lawang!
